REACHING OUT TO OTHER
1 Corinthians 10:24 says, “We should not look out for our own
interests. Instead, we should look out for the interests of
others.
In the Bible Jesus taught us two lessons in Luke 14:7-14. He
taught us that service is more important than status. He also
taught us that caring is demonstrated by how much we
reach out to others less fortunate than we are. In the case
of recovery that is people not as far down the recovery
track as we are.
Everyone needs recovery! none of us are so well adjusted
to life and its problems that we will never need anyone else
to help us and care about us. God expects us to care
about and look after each other. We are all called to help
the homeless, hungry, sick and imprisoned as if they were
Jesus.
- Do you avoid people who are suffering – or are willing to do what you can to help them KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
