PURIFY YOUR SOUL
1 Peter 1:22 You have made yourselves pure by obeying the truth. So, you have an honest and true love for your brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply, from the heart.
This verse is talking about purity of our souls. The dictionary defines the soul as” the principle of life, feeling, thought and action in humans,” In other words the part of me that makes me Archie.
Purity in my life is in direct relation to how I feel, think and act towards others. Honest and true love for others comes from learning to love ourselves, be honest about our feelings and thoughts and acting in accordance with God’s guidance and direction. The purpose of recovery is to become more like Jesus. Romans 8:29 says “God planned that those he had chosen would become like his Son.”
