1 John 3:17 Suppose someone sees a brother or sister in need and can help them. If he doesn’t take pity on them, how can the love of God be in him?
We need each other. None of us were designed to be alone. That’s why God created Eve.
Helping one another is an important part of the recovery process. In the recovery process, we should never think of ourselves as totally independent. We need the help of others and they need our help. And, none of us are excused from that task. John 13:34 says “I give you a new command. Love one another. You must love one another, just as I have loved you.” Loving each other is a commandment, not an option.
Recovery only works as it should when we all work together for the common good of all.
