Recovery is a Choice

WE ADMITTED WE WERE POWERLESS AND OUR LIVES HAD BECOME UNMANAGEABLE.

The Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. Isaiah 30:18

God does not force Himself on any of us, He waits patiently to be invited. Now that doesn’t mean He doesn’t have anything to do with our lives. Nor does it mean He can’t prompt us to travel in directions we would not think of travelling ourselves.

He loves us each and expresses His love for us in ways we only recognise after entering recovery and taking honest inventory on our character and lives. Recognising powerlessness in our lives and our need of His guidance opens up our hearts and minds to investigating things in our lives we may not have considered before.
