Today, please listen; don’t turn a deaf ear as you did through your addiction and compulsions. What do you think will happen if you turn on God, spit on the sacrifice that Jesus, and insult this most graciousHoly Spirit? Do you think we can risk neglecting this opportunity from God? This magnificent salvation? Delivered in person, then accurately passed on to us by those who heard it from Him. The promise of resting in Him directing us to God’s goal for us, we need to be careful that we’re not disqualified. The wise watch their steps and avoid relapse; fools are headstrong and reckless and end up making bad choices that lead to mistakes.
MEDITATION
Our own instincts are led by opportunities of personal gain. So many of our problems are self-imposed by our thinking, The Bible says we character change is initiated by the ‘RENEWING OF OUR MINDS’ In other words ‘we need to learn to think differently’ Our moods and our thoughts may be tempted by the pursuit of the wrong things. Ecclesiastes 10:12-13 The words of a wise person are gracious. The talk of a fool self-destructs— He starts out talking nonsense And ends up spouting insanity and evil. The second step of Alcoholics Anonymous talks about God restoring us to sanity. Philippians 2:13 says “That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure.” In order to experience the energy, God brings to we need to begin fixing the stinking thinking.
PRAYER
Just for today, I will think before I speak and try to look at things from God’s point of view. I will try not to allow stinking thinking to make me do or say things I rely on at a later date.
