Asking God For Help

Soften up, God, and intervene; hurry and get me some help, Psalms 40:13

Sometimes things don’t happen as quickly as we think they should in the recovery process. In our opinion, God doesn’t move quick enough or we believe the things He is asking of us are too hard. But as we have already learned ‘God knows us better than we know ourselves.’

Sometimes it is in waiting for God to act or respond we discover how far we have moved away from Him and how far we have to go to get our lives in order. God is with you and He cares. What you are going through right now is what you need to go through to understand what is really going on in your life and what you need to do to change it.

Sometimes it is waiting for God we understand our need of His help and guidance and human strength is not enough to bring us to here we need to be to deal with the things we need to deal with,

Sometimes it is in waiting for God we understand the importance of the recovery process in our lives and the importance of giving God access to the area of our lives we have chosen up until now to avoid.

Asking God is an important part of our prayer lives but so is the patience to give God the time to answer and the willingness to ‘GO TO ANY LENGTH TO ACHIE IT!’

  • GOD GIVES US THE STENGTH TO FACE EVERY CRISIS
  • THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT GOD GIVES US WISDOM AND DEISCENMENT ABOVE OUR OWN
  • GOD HELPS US TO PRAY WHEN WE CAN’T FIND THE WORDS
  • GOD GIVES US OTHER PEOPLE TO SUPPORT US IN RECOVERY
