Genesis 21:1 God visited Sarah exactly as he said he would; God did to Sarah what he promised.
Commit to Recovery
“You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s kingdom. Jesus said, “Throw your lot in with the One that God has sent. That kind of a commitment gets you in on God’s works.” Once the commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can’t. The heart regulates the hands. I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward–to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision–you’ll see it yet!
Matthew 5:10 ~ John 6:29 ~ 2 Corinthians 8:12 ~ Philippians 3:12-15
God keeps His word. Whatever He promises us we can be sure it will happen and we can be committed to it. Like Sarah sometimes we can believe complete recovery is impossible but with God all things are possible. When we are totally committed to the recovery process we can ne sure “God will clear our blurred vision” and we will “see” “God beckoning us onward” in the process.
