Step 6 – Day 4

In the message it says 2 Corinthians 8:12 “Once the commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can’t. The heart regulates the hands.” Too often in life, we talk ourselves out of doing what God tells us to do through our opinion of our strengths, gifts, talents, and worth. What God is asking from us in Step 6 is a commitment ‘to be ready to obey Him in order to let Him make the changes in us He knows ae necessary.

In the name of faith with good intentions, we pray “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10 We say “I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.” Psalms 40:8 and plead Help me to do your will, for you are my God. Lead me in good paths, for your Spirit is good. Psalms 143:10 As it says in the verse above “Once the commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can’t.” In the ‘SERENITY PRAYER,’ we pray God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Recovery is a process – We did not arrive where we are right now overnight and nor will we change to become the people God is calling us to be overnight. One of the most important ingredients in the process of recovery is TIME. Don’t get so caught up in changing you miss some important steps. EASY DOES IT!
