Why Recovery?

WE ALL NEED RECOVERY BECAUSE WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES
God spoke to Cain: “Why this tantrum? Why the sulking? If you do well, won’t you be accepted? And if you don’t do well, sin is lying in wait for you, ready to pounce; it’s out to get you, you’ve got to master it.” Genesis 4:6-7

WE ALL NEED RECOVERY BECAUSE WE ARE ALL SELFISH
You pray and don’t receive, because you pray with the wrong motive, that of wanting to indulge your own desires. James 4:3 CJB

WE ALL NEED RECOVERY BECAUSE WE QUESTION GOD’S PURPOSE
“Are we to receive the good at God’s hands but reject the bad?” Job 2:10 CJB

For some of us our past sins, mistakes, selfishness and questioning God’s purpose is holding us back from moving forward in our lives. We may have legitimate reasons for this but continuing to hold onto the pain and refusing to face the truth about our lives is stunting our spiritual growth and maturity. It is important for us to understand by starting to work through these things we can, with God’s help begin to find the courage and strength we need to change our lives and recover from our addictions and compulsions.
