Are you willing to pay the price that may be required to succeed in the recovery process?
Luke 14:27 Anyone who doesn’t carry his cross and follow me can’t be my disciple.
Recovery is not free, it costs, and we need to carefully weigh up the costs as we go through each step. We need to realise up front the sacrifices we are going to have to make to pursue a life of continual spiritual growth.
Psalms 50:14 says “Bring me thank offerings, because I am your God. Carry out the promises you made to me, because I am the Most High God.” All through this process of recovery we have been making commitments to God and today is no exception. Today we are committing to wearing the cost of recovery regardless of what it is
What The Biible Says
What happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely. Galatians 5:22-23
VALUE WHAT GOD VALUES AND YOU CAN’T GO WRONG!
Prayer: God today I commit to paying whatever price You ask for growing, lasting, spiritual recovery.
