When it comes to ‘making direct amends’ we need to evaluate if doing so will cause pain or harm to those we need to make amends to. Making amends in some instances may cause irreparable damages to all concerned. In these cases, we should pray about them and/or writing a letter to the person concerned as if we are talking directly to them. We can also make amends through changes in our attitudes and behaviors.

Jeremiah 7:3  God-of-the-Angel-Armies, Israel’s God, has this to say to you: “‘Clean up your act—the way you live, the things you do—so I can make my home with you in this place.
