BE PATIENT

Are pride and impatience stopping you being and doing
all God wants from you?

Colossians 3:12 You are God’s chosen people. You are holy and dearly loved. So put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes. Don’t be proud. Be gentle and patient.

God chose me! Because He loves me dearly, God chose me. What He asks me to do in return is to be gentle and patient. Two characteristics that I need to work on constantly.

I am not naturally a gentle person. I call a spade a spade and have been known to be more direct with some people as I probably should have been. I am not naturally patient. Some of the most frustrating times I have experienced in recovery have been when I thought I knew exactly what God wanted and He took too long to make it happen. We all need to understand, me included recovery is a process that develops in God’s time for His glory.

Prayer: Lord give me patience to work my program to your timeline not mine
