Philippians 1:13 TLB Everyone around here, including all the soldiers over at the barracks, knows that I am in chains simply because I am a Christian.
Philippians 1:12-14 Paul was certain God was in control of his life and had allowed his circumstances to happen in order to help him spread the ‘Good News’ I heard a message the other day where the pastor said: “If God permits it He has a purpose for it and He will equip you to deal with it.” Regardless of who we are, where we have been, what we have been through, and what we have done. God wants to use us and our circumstances to help others in need.
Paul says in Ephesians 6:20 GNB For the sake of this gospel I am an ambassador, though now I am in prison. Pray that I may be bold in speaking about the gospel as I should. Philippians 1:21 Alive, I’m Christ’s messenger; dead, I’m his bounty. Life versus even more life! I can’t lose. He accepted imprisonment as part of God’s plan for his life. Not as bondage but as a bonus and a boost.
It is not always easy to endure what God allows to happen in our lives. “Listen to me, all who hope for deliverance—all who seek the Lord! Consider the rock from which you were cut, the quarry from which you were mined. Yes, think about Abraham, your ancestor, and Sarah, who gave birth to your nation. Abraham was only one man when I called him. But when I blessed him, he became a great nation.” Isaiah 51:1-2 If we remain faithful, God can use us to influence others in a positive way. If we remain faithful, think about what God can do through us!
