THROUGH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF GOD’S SUPREME POWER,
I HUMBLY ASK HIM TO HELP ME CHANGE MY SINFUL HABITS AND ATTITUDES.
The day God gave the Amorites up to Israel, Joshua spoke to God, with all Israel listening: “Stop, Sun, over Gibeon; Halt, Moon, over Aijalon Valley.” And Sun stopped, Moon stood stock still Until he defeated his enemies. The sun stopped in its tracks in mid sky; just sat there all day. There’s never been a day like that before or since—God took orders from a human voice! Truly, God fought for Israel. Joshua 10:12-15
Joshua prayed that God would provide additional daylight to complete the battle and achieve victory over the Amorites. God listened and responded. For years unbelievers have tried to explain away God’s divine intervention. At times in the process of recovery, we can also try and explain away the extraordinary things God has done in our lives. God is calling us all not just to acknowledge Him but also to give credit where credit is due.
What The Bible Says
Ephesians 4:5-6 There is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. There is one God and Father of us all, who rules over everyone. He works through all of us and in all of us.
