LLR Thought For Today

THROUGH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF GOD’S SUPREME POWER,
I HUMBLY ASK HIM TO HELP ME CHANGE MY SINFUL HABITS AND ATTITUDES.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Doing the right thing in recovery isn’t optional, it’s essential. Over the years I have seen many people in recovery who appear to do the right thing but don’t. 1 John 3:10  says Here’s how you tell the difference between God’s children and the Devil’s children: The one who won’t practice righteous ways isn’t from God, nor is the one who won’t love brother or sister. A simple test.

You can’t be successful in recovery and keep your old habits and attitudes. Eventually you will relapse.

MEDITATION

No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 Doing the right thing isn’t always easy but it is always possible. The verse above says ‘God will never let you down.’ ‘He is always there to help you’ He wants to help you change, wants to help you to DO THE RIGHT THING!

PRAYER

Lord help me today to change my sinful habits and attitudes and do the right thing with Your help.
