THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Galatians 6:14  I never want to brag about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through that cross the ways of the world have been crucified as far as I am concerned. And I have been crucified as far as the ways of the world are concerned.

The world s full of pressures and propaganda, aimed at directing our thinking and emotion to alternate ways of thinking and acting. The only way to escape them is to ask God to change our character and create interests in our hearts the=at are pleasing to Him.

Galatians 2:20  Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
