Godly Sadness
2 Corinthians 7:10 Godly sadness causes us to turn away from our sins and be saved.
Godly sadness is an acute sense of sadness we experience as a result of the things that are wrong on our character. It’s that moment in the recovery process when you realize what a mess you have made and you are going to have to fix it.
The change that God makes in our character prepares us for changed relationships with Him and with others. Those closest to us were the most affected by our problems. Often having to sit back and allow us to make our own mistakes.
There is none happier than my Mum and siblings that I made a conscious decision to change my life. It is the best feeling to know today they trust me as a result of my recovery.
